If you are familiar with my work, you probably have seen some of my photos of ice. This is a body of work that I have been working on for the past several years. Recently, I began playing around with inverting the images, so that some of the darker areas are made lighter. Some further curve adjustments bring those lighter tones to white. The result resembles a water color, or not? Looks like this harkens back to the age of pictorialism of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s when photographers tried to make their photographs look like paintings. What do you think?
